BALTIMORE — Troy Tulowitzki became the 11th Yankee to end up on the injured list after just six games, part of a rash of injuries the veteran shortstop called “crazy.’’
“I’ve never seen anything like it,’’ Tulowitzki said on Thursday after he was officially put on the IL with a left calf strain and replaced by Thairo Estrada. “It’s unfortunate. It’s never easy. Sometimes it makes your team better. Guys get chances they didn’t think they were gonna get and it builds some character.’’
If that’s the case, the Yankees should have plenty of character.
