Struggling Yankees stymied by the Angels again

ANAHEIM. Calif. — Unlike the night before, the Yankees didn’t have to deal with Mike Trout’s freakish athletic ability in center field Tuesday evening at Angel Stadium.

That didn’t mean the Yankees ended their futile ways at the plate, though.

The Yankees dropped a 2-1 decision to the Angels in front of 42,036 who never witnessed the road team batting with a runner in scoring position and were limited to two hits — tying a season low.

Hitting into double plays in the sixth, seventh and eighth didn’t help the Dead Bat Society.

The Yankees have scored one run in the last three games and have lost seven of 10.
