NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The Staten Island Yankees are looking for a new name — and they want your help.
The team announced it will have a new identity for the 2017 name. It’s asking the public to submit suggestions. The top six choices will be entered into a contest to vote for the new team name. One fan who submits an entry will win two season tickets next year, an official team jersey and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch on Opening Day 2017.
The “Baby Bombers” says they’re looking for a new moniker that better represents Staten Island.
