On December 8, 2015, the Cubs traded second baseman Starlin Castro to the Yankees for righthander Adam Warren and a Player To Be Named Later. Given that Castro had a truly solid year in the Bronx, that he would eventually net the Bombers Giancarlo Stanton in trade, and that Warren ended up back in the Bronx late in the coming season, this was a good trade for the Yankees.
