The Yankees finally found someone who can hit Dallas Keuchel, but Starlin Castro’s bat still wasn’t enough to beat the Houston lefty.
In his Yankees debut, Castro got off to a quick start with a two-run double in the second, ending the team’s 29-inning scoreless streak against the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner.
But that was the last Yankees highlight of the day in Tuesday’s 5-3 loss to the Astros in The Bronx.
“He knows how to pitch,” Castro said of Keuchel, who beat the Yankees three times last season without giving up a run — including in the AL wild-card game.
