At just 26 years old and in his 7th year in the league, Starlin Castro has already joined the 1,000 hit club. It came in the 7th inning off of Tigers pitcher Logan Kensing. He reached the milestone in 896 games, an average of 181 hits per season. It may not be the most exclusive club in baseball, but it is still an impressive feat which deserves the recognition. What makes his climb to 1,000 even more impressive is that he missed the first month of his rookie year and the last month of 2014 due to injury.
