Aaron Judge isn’t the only Yankees rookie to see a historic MLB debut sour quickly.
After Tyler Austin homered in his first at-bat and singled later in the same game as Judge on Aug. 13, the first baseman had been nearly invisible at the plate.
That was until Monday’s 5-3 win over the Blue Jays, when Austin hit a pair of doubles — including one that drove in two runs in the fourth inning.
“I’m not intimidated by these guys anymore,” said Austin, who hadn’t had an extra-base hit since the home run. “I think that’s the big thing.
