TORONTO — “I think after a month, you get a pretty good indication,” Alex Rodriguez told The Post on Thursday afternoon at Rogers Centre.
We haven’t advanced so much as a half-month into this 2016 season. Everyone deserves more time. Yet A-Rod and the Yankees have whiffed at their only chance to make a good first impression.
Because Nathan Eovaldi couldn’t protect the modest lead he received, the Yankees dropped a 4-2 decision to the Blue Jays, losing the first series of the season between the American League East rivals, two games to one. The Yankees totaled seven runs in these three games; while you can put only some blame on A-Rod (0-for-11 with a hit by pitch for the series) for the drought, you wonder the most about him because he’s the oldest of the bunch.
