Trade talks between the White Sox and Yankees regarding left-hander Jose Quintana have expanded to include closer David Robertson, according to USA Today.
Chicago would be willing to eat part of Robertson's remaining $25 million over the next two seasons, per the USA Today report.
The Yankees have been one of a handful of teams linked to the 27-year-old Quintana, who's under club control through 2020.
Robertson's inclusion in trade talks would help bolster a New York bullpen that already has Aroldis Chapman and Dellin Betances. The 31-year-old Robertson began his career in the Bronx and saved a career-high 39 games in 2014, his first season as closer after taking over for Mariano Rivera.
