The Los Angeles Angels have hired New York Yankees executive Billy Eppler as their new general manger, according to multiple reports.

Eppler, who finished second to Jerry Dipoto when the Angels were hiring a GM in late 2011, had also in recent years been a candidate for the Padres' GM job before they hired A.
