The Giancarlo Stanton sweepstakes is starting to heat up again, and the New York Yankees are right in the middle of the rumors.
On Friday evening, a Twitter account which is believed to belong to former Yankee Jim Leyritz tweeted that Stanton was officially traded to the Bronx Bombers. Although the account is not verified, there is reason to believe the account truly belongs to Leyritz. The account is followed by numerous former teammates and members of the media, including David Cone and WFAN’s Sweeny Murti.
