Report: Samardzija has $100M offer from mystery team

With Jordan Zimmermann and David Price off the board, the free agent dominos are expected to fall as the market begins to take shape. According to Jeff Samardzija‘s representatives, the 30-year-old righty already has a $100M offer on the table.

The Yankees have been linked to Samardzija since the season ended, mainly because Yankees executive Jim Hendry drafted the now 30-year-old out of Notre Dame when he was the GM of the Cubs. The Yankees also love the potential Samardzija has, along with the fact that he’s thrown 200-plus innings in each of the last three seasons.
