Report: Refsnyder to stay with Yankees beyond break

Rob Refsnyder will stay with the Yankees after the All-Star break, according to Jon Harper of the New York Daily News, a source has reported. The rookie had his first career hit and homerun Sunday vs. the Red Sox. It is unclear if the young second basemen will have an every day role once play resumes, but it is widely assumed he will see playing time.

With Stephen Drew hitting just .182 on the season, the Yankees called up Refsnyder to give him a look and see how he would perform before the break. When he was called up, the Yankees said they had no plan for him after this past weekend, but it appears plans have changed.
