Aroldis Chapman was acquired in December by the Yankees with rumors swirling around him amid a domestic violence allegation and the possibility of a suspension.
According to the New York Daily News, Chapman’s discipline could include a Spring Training ban if Commissioner Rob Manfred makes a decisions within the next couple of days.
With baseball’s new domestic violence police gives Manfred more control to punish a player to a degree in which he finds suitable for the situation given.
A source told the Daily News that “while a spring training ban is hardly a certainty, nothing could be ruled out and its player ‘in new territory’ when it comes to discipline in domestic violence cases.
