Reds pitcher keeps plunking Yankees until one really hurts

CINCINNATI — Nobody believed the Reds’ Drew Storen was intentionally throwing at the three Yankees he hit in the seventh inning Monday night.

However, that doesn’t mean there is a possibility one of those hit by pitches turns out to hurt the team with the best record in baseball.

Chase Headley, who was hit in the right knee after Aaron Hicks was drilled in the left foot and Gary Sanchez in the left elbow, was removed from the game. And while Joe Girardi told the third baseman before Monday’s game that he was going to be off Tuesday there was some concern.
