Evaluating a Major League Baseball general manager on picks in the annual June draft is, much like the draft itself, an imperfect and almost impossible exercise.
Yet much like the Yankees and general manager Brian Cashman will take crack after crack at finding stars and future contributors in next week’s 2018 MLB Draft, this is an attempt at something similar: Combing through years of drafts since Cashman’s first year as Yankees GM in 1998 to find his best selections.
