The Yankees will retire Derek Jeter's No. 2 and unveil his Monument Park plaque on May 14.
"The Captain" will become the 22nd player in franchise history to have his number retired and the first since the other members of the Yankees' Core Four -- Bernie Williams, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte -- in 2015.
Jeter played a franchise-record 20 seasons in the Bronx, retiring with a career winning percentage of .593 (1,628-1,117-2) and five World Series championships (1996, 1998-2000, '09).
He is a 14-time All-Star and ranks sixth in Major League history with 3,465 hits, the most of any Yankee.
