FT. MYERS, Fla. — Chester native and Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello hopes to put his rough 2015 behind him as quickly as possible. So far, it hasn't worked.
The 27-year-old Porcello, a former first-round pick out of Seton Hall Prep, hasn't been spectacular in game action this spring. He gave up eight runs on 10 hits in three innings against the Rays on Sunday. He was a bit better in his first start, giving up a run on three hits in two frames.
