Former Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli made headlines yesterday after news came out that he is open to signing an extension with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Cervelli, who was part of the trade last season that brought Justin Wilson to the Yankees, has one more year left on his deal before he can become a free agent. It's a somewhat odd move for Cervelli, because if he has another year similar to 2015, he can become one of the top free agent catchers on next season's market, along with Matt Weiters.
