The start of the World Series is so far away, waiting around for it could make someone do crazy things. Like hiring a former GM to be a first base coach.
Both the ALCS and NLCS are over. So that means the World Series will be starting, right? Nope. We have to wait until Tuesday because if the NLCS had gone to a Game 7, that would have been played today and then the World Series could start Tuesday. But alas it didn't, so we have to wait. It would be nice if the start date could be fluid and moved up if the ALCS and NLCS ended before a Game 7 was necessary.
