As of Thursday morning, the Yankees need a manager to take over a very talented ballclub loaded with young stars that missed going to the 2017 World Series by a game.
This decision to change managers makes you think Yankees management and/or ownership knew for a while that it didn't want Joe Girardi back next year on a new deal, right?
It also makes you think that GM Brian Cashman is 100 percent coming back even though he, like Cashman, worked the 2017 season on the final year of his contract.
