Polarizing Joe Buck up for prestigious sports broadcasting award

While many won't admit it, Fox Sports' Joe Buck is among the legendary sports broadcasters in television history.

As the 2017 World Series gets set to begin, expect a ton of Buck backlash on social media during the Fall Classic--especially from fan bases that believe the veteran is calling the game with some sort of bias. (Warning: Tweets below contain graphic language.)

But outside of perception, this reality exists: The National Baseball Hall of Fame has nominated Buck--along with seven other worthy candidates--for the prestigious Ford C. Frick Award.

The eight finalists for the 2018 Frick Award are: Buddy Blattner, Joe Buck, Bob Costas, Dizzy Dean, Don Drysdale, Al Michaels, Joe Morgan and Pee Wee Reese.
