After two great starts this week with the New York Yankees, first baseman Chris Parmelee suffered a right hamstring injury in Thursday’s win over the Angels.
With two outs in the seventh inning, Parmelee had to split to extend to grab a throw from Didi Gregorius, fell backwards and grabbed the back of his right leg. Unable to apply any pressure on the leg, Parmelee was helped off the field by manager Joe Girardi.
