NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Chris Capuano is back with the New York Yankees for his fifth stint this season.
The 37-year-old left-hander is 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA in four starts and 14 relief appearances. He was added to the 40-man roster before Monday’s game against Baltimore.
Capuano started the season on the disabled list after straining a quadriceps while covering first base during a spring training game on March 11. He made three injury rehabilitation starts in the minors, then was activated May 17.
Capuano was designated for assignment on July 29 after going 0-4 with a 6.
