In reality, the Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo trades were of course the focus, and the deals featuring Andrew Heaney, Luis Cessa, Justin Wilson, and Clay Holmes were all discussed. GM Brian Cashman did a pretty good job of keeping the team competitive for the stretch of 2021 while also helping the 2022 club and keeping the most important prospects to the Yankees’ future in tow.
