It won’t be the same in the Yankee clubhouse tonight and for a lot of nights to come. It won’t be the same because Thurman Munson will never again come bursting through the door hurling good-natured insults at his teammates as he swaggers to his locker. It won’t be the same because Lou Piniella will not have Thurman Munson to use as a pin cushion for his sharply honed needle, getting on Munson for his belly and his appetite.
