The rest of the Yankees can probably take the night off. Gleyber Torres and Gary Sanchez have it from here.
Torres cranked his 11th and 12th homers of the season on Wednesday night in Baltimore, bringing his season-total against the lowly Orioles to 10. In between the third- and fifth-inning dingers came Sanchez’s ninth home run against the O’s, and team-leading 14th.
Baltimore has hit 10 home runs against the Yankees this season.
The Orioles’ record for most homers allowed to one hitter in a season is 12, according to ESPN, a mark that belongs to Lou Gehrig, Hang Greenberg and Gus Zernial.
