Options aplenty allow Girardi to rest players

CINCINNATI -- Both Yankees third baseman Chase Headley and outfielder Aaron Hicks were out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds after being hit by pitches in Monday's 10-4 win in the opener, but manager Joe Girardi has the luxury of versatile options to take their place.

Ronald Torreyes started at third Tuesday after starting at second Monday, and seemingly does something positive every time he plays. The 24-year-old has made 22 starts -- 18 at shortstop, one at second base and three at third base -- and entered hitting .
