Whatevs. CC Sabathia‘s spring debut went well; he struck out two and walked one in two scoreless innings. One scout clocked his fastball at 85-87 mph in the first inning according to Andrew Marchand, which sounds about right for this time of year.
Luis Cessa threw two scoreless and hitless innings behind Sabathia, and Chasen Shreve retired all three men he faced. Nick Rumbelow allowed the day’s only run on two hits and a walk in an inning of work.
