If only Jacoby Ellsbury had inspired this much fire and fury when he actually played for the Yankees.
Ellsbury, long ago a worthy foe when he wore a Red Sox uniform, now finds himself immersed in a heated battle with the Yankees, who released him Wednesday, for what’s left of the historically awful, seven-year, $153-million contract he signed in December 2013 — as well as, possibly, some of the money he already has pocketed.
