TAMPA — The Yankees have 10 more players to cut before Sunday’s noon deadline to have the Opening Day roster at 25.
Following Sunday’s game against the Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Yankees sent infielders Ruben Tejada and Donovan Solano and catcher Wilkin Castillo to the minor league camp.
That left the Yankees with 35 names for 25 spots.
Most of the choices will involve the pitching staff, because the position jobs — other than shortstop — are pretty clear.
