One former Yankee can’t wait to get away from another.
Starlin Castro wants out, the second baseman requesting a trade from the Marlins as new ownership, led by Derek Jeter, cuts salary and sells off the team’s best players, according to The Athletic.
The Marlins obtained Castro last month in dumping superstar Giancarlo Stanton and the $295 million left on his contract to the Yankees. Castro, a steady but not spectacular 27-year-old, was the centerpiece of the deal and already a candidate to be dealt a second time, as he has value and makes $10.
