Monday, bloody Monday.
The Yankees, without yet playing a game, have lost two players, as Miguel Andujar will be going on the injured list with a shoulder injury just about six hours after they announced Giancarlo Stanton was IL-bound with a left biceps strain. Andujar has a strained right shoulder and tests are pending, the Yankees announced.
Andujar had played the team’s first three games, two at third and one at DH, and went 3-for-13 (.231) with an RBI. Tyler Wade has been called up to replace him on the roster.
It’s just the latest blow for a decimated Yankees team, which is also absent Luis Severino, CC Sabathia, Dellin Betances, Aaron Hicks, Jacoby Ellsbury and Didi Gregorius.
