Nick Swisher’s hot Triple-A bat could nuke Yankees comeback

Nick Swisher is handling Triple-A pitching, but unless Mark Teixeira succumbs to injury, the switch-hitting first baseman won’t surface in The Bronx.

With an out in the minor league deal he signed last week, Swisher’s hot bat for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre could get him to another organization before a need arises with the Yankees.

In five games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Swisher is batting .333 (6-for-18) with a homer and three RBIs after going 0-for-4 Tuesday night against Buffalo. On Monday, he went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs.

“I don’t know about when I expect to see him in The Bronx,’’ Joe Girardi said.
