With a somewhat depleted pitching staff due to fatigue, the New York Yankees have selected the contract of reliever Daniel Camarena and will be recalling him from AAA.
The corresponding move is that Mike Ford will head back to Scranton.
Camarena, 26, was born in Bonita, California and will be making his MLB debut. The Railriders had used him as a starter, and Saturday was his scheduled day to pitch, meaning that he is available in Tampa assuming he has arrived from Pennsylvania.
They lefty was drafted in the 20th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Yankees, but has bounced around a bit before returning to the Yankees.
