It’s been a rough few days for the Yankees, who have dropped three straight entering today’s showdown with the Rays. There have been pitching issues and hitting issues, and I think that today is as good a day as any to right the ship. The club will send one of their best to the mound to try and do just that, while Brent Honeywell Jr. will look to make an impression on the Rays in his MLB debut.
Jordan Montgomery is coming off a great start last Monday against the Orioles, and hopefully his ability to mix pitches and bear in on righties helps slow down a Rays lineup that’s looked pretty comfortable in the box this weekend.
