The New York Yankees and New York Mets will cap off the Subway Series tonight after last month’s rainout postponed the rubber match of a split series. The Yankees lost the first game 7-5 as Noah Syndergaard shut down the Yankees, but the Bombers bounced back with a nail-biting 7-6 win the next day. Masahiro Tanaka would have started this game last month, but the rain has set up a duel between Luis Severino and Jacob deGrom for New York supremacy tonight.
Though Severino will surely be up to the challenge of battling deGrom, he has struggled since the month of July.
