The Yankees and Red Sox sure put on a show for the first MLB game played in Europe yesterday, combining for 30 runs and almost 40 hits in a 17-13 Yankees win. The Bombers will try for the sweep with this morning’s game.
Although CC Sabathia and J.A. Happ are available on full rest, the Yankees decided earlier this week to go with a bullpen game for today’s contest. That strategy may be tested today with a tired bullpen after yesterday’s marathon, but Stephen Tarpley will make his first major league start in London.
