The suddenly-massive Red Sox bullpen got to the Yankees’ hitters on Thursday, limiting one of the league’s best offenses to just one run all night. The Red Sox ran out seven different pitchers in a nine-inning game, and the Bronx Bombers just couldn’t get much of anything going. The Yankees still hold a 15.5 game lead on the Red Sox in the AL East, but it would be nice to see them turn things around today.
J.A. Happ will get the ball for New York for Saturday afternoon’s affair. Happ is coming off his best start of the year.
