The Orioles are the worst team in baseball. Naturally, the Yankees have a 6-6 record against them this season. You’d think the Bombers would be able to pull ahead now that Baltimore is without all the players they traded at the deadline. However, the Yankees have been decimated by injuries. The lineup was already hurting without Gary Sanchez and Aaron Judge, and now they’re without Didi Gregorius. Not to mention that Aroldis Chapman’s injury is a blow to the bullpen. The fact that they have to play four games in three days adds another layer of difficulty to this series.
