Masahiro Tanaka will make his what is likely his final appearance of the regular season tonight at Sahlen Field, as the Yankees continue their series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The two teams have swapped blowouts in the preceding two games, and given everything we’ve seen the last two weeks between them, I am expecting a similar lopsided result tonight.
Tanaka faced the Jays last week, pitching seven innings of three-run ball. He’s pitched to a 3.27 ERA in 2020, his lowest since 2016, but home run troubles have his FIP almost a full run higher.
