New York Yankees veteran Tino Martinez was seen hanging with the Triple-A Yankees team, the Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders, Saturday afternoon, during batting practice before their second game of a three game slate against the Charlotte Knights.
Tino, of course, returned to the organization in 2015 as a minor league instructor.
Martinez was out on the field, chatting it up with managers and players as the team stretched and got ready for their game in Charlotte.
I find it pretty awesome that someone like Tino Martinez would take the time to hang with the RailRiders, mentor them and share is big game knowledge with these young men looking to hopefully be in his shoes one day — pretty neat.
