Michael Pineda
The New York Yankees are skipping Michael Pineda‘s next scheduled start, but it isn’t due to poor performance from the physically imposing righty. In fact, he’s pitching quite well–Pineda’s seven wins and 76 strikeouts lead the team, while his ERA is bettered only by that of Masahiro Tanaka, who’s missed most of the season to this point with a forearm injury. Instead, Pineda will ride the pine for the sake of his health–not because he’s injured, but because he’s not.
