Another member of the New York Yankees staff has tested positive for COVID-19, manager Aaron Boone said Sunday.
That brings the total number of cases among the Yankees over the past week to nine, including shortstop Gleyber Torres, who was placed on the COVID-19 injured list. Other identified cases were pitching coach Matt Blake, third-base coach Phil Nevin and first-base coach Reggie Willits.
Boone said Sunday that one other Yankees staff member will not be available for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Orioles due to contact tracing.
