The New York Yankees went with their “B” lineup last night in their match-up with the Baltimore Orioles at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida. The skies were sunny, and the game-time temperature was in the mid-sixties. Michael King took the mound for the Yankees and Matt Harvey for the Baltimore Orioles.
DJ LeMahieu dropped his spring training average down to .258 when he struck out in the first inning. Shortstop Gleyber Torres walked. Jay Bruce ground out, and Gary Sanchez struck out swinging to end the half. With King on the mound, Mullins and Mancini both struck out swinging, and Santander flew out to the left-field for a quick inning for King.
