New York Yankees Recap: Yanks Put Up 13 Runs To Take Series At Fenway

In the rubber game of their three game series against the Boston Red Sox (61-72) at Fenway Park, the New York Yankees (74-58) provided Masahiro Tanaka (11-6, 3.73) with enough run support in the early innings. Tanaka was able to cruise through this game and even though the Red Sox made a comeback, the Bronx Bombers’ bottom four hitters all hitting home runs ended up being the difference in a 13-8 victory. With the win, the Yankees finish their six game road trip in Atlanta and Boston with a 4-2 record.

While the Yankees won the game, it was the Red Sox who got on the board first.
