This afternoon the New York Yankees met up with the Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx in the rubber game of the three-game series. The A’s won the first game, and yesterday afternoon the Yankees had a comeback win 7-5 to force the rubber game today. Jordan Montgomery faced the A’s Sean Manaea on a sweltering and humid day at the Stadium. The Yankees won the game and took the series 2-1.
In the first inning, Mark Canha faced Montgomery and flew out to Judge in center. Matt Chapman struck out swinging. Then, matt Olson hit a homer all the way into Monument Park in deep center.
