Russell Martin‘s three-run home run off Andrew Bailey in the seventh inning helped power the Toronto Blue Jays to a 4-0 win over the New York Yankees on Wednesday night at Rogers Centre.
The Blue Jays (87-65) took two out of three games in the series against the Yankees (83-68), and finished the year 13-6 versus New York. The Yankees now trail Toronto by 3.5 games in the AL East with 11 games left in the regular season.
Toronto starter Marcus Stroman hurled seven shutout innings en route to his third win of the season.
