After seeing the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series this season, New York Yankees fans were hoping to have some hardware of their own with Miguel Andujar.
However, Andujar fell short of winning the AL Rookie of the Year award, which was voted on by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America. Instead, he lost to Shohei Ohtani, the two-way player who has captured the attention of every baseball fan.
We can argue all we want but the fact of the matter is that Ohtani put together an impressive season. However, Miguel Andujar definitely could have come away with the award and put together a stellar campaign that deserved recognition by the writers.
