There was a point over the offseason that the New York Yankees outfield was littered with talent, in fact, there was too much to pick from. Now, they’re down several starters and are being forced to dig into their reserves to fill positions.
Veteran Brett Gardner is filling in for the injured Aaron Hicks, hitting 1-13 with a mere single and two walks. Losing Hicks has influenced the offense significantly and now the team is down slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
The second-year Yankee will join the 10-day injured list with a left bicep strain.
